"The lesson of Steve Lacy: starting from a single element like a scale, a broken chord, a sound, a breath in order to work it up by assembling and disassembling, tearing apart and rebuilding. Fragments of ideas taken freely in an exercise of rearrangement always looking for coherence, always trying to get back to basics."

"mayfairgrin seeks to wrap the listener in a warm blanket of molten melodies and chilled rhythms. This is impressionistic music, existing outside of the verse-chorus-verse structures of a three-minute pop song. The music expands and blurs the boundaries between shoegaze, gothic, ambient, industrial, post-rock, and electronica.mayfairgrin has existed in various forms for the past ten years... a mainstay to the electronic and ambient music underground.RIYL cerebral, electronic-leaning artists (Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada, Bowery Electric, Massive Attack, Moby, and Dead Can Dance), intelligent, introspective, dreampop, ambient, shoegaze." "Centuries ago a pirate ship sank in the Pacific Ocean. Three days after the shipwreck the only confirmed survivor was found recently married to a local dancer in the Caribbean Islands. Composed by rolemusic using LSDJ and rendered in bgb emulator. Artwork by Love Through Cannibalism." (Words from Enough).
"The literature for me is bums on the road. When you walk in the marmalade fog and meet Mr. Godot in the end. When you run away from Langoliers, jump into the silent abyss and find a Vincenzo Bernardelli. Bang! And then just silent madness, if was in the heat of an angry somewhere in the Latin America. It is only literature – fictional world, a world that forces us to abandon reality and to travel without any boundaries.
Aortha is a sound project of Dzmitry Ladzes from Belarus. In his sound experiments Dzmitry use only the field recording material. Choir of the crowd, symphony of the urban transport and sighs of the wind — his main methods." (Words from HAZE).
"To interpret is all in the eyes of the beholder. Different world views and opinions varies widely from individuals. All of us has our own unique sense of reality that we somehow like to share with the rest. Weather it's good or bad, you and I compute the external environment to our own liking. Keeping this in mind, "Interpretations" an album of collected dubed sound-scapes by Ionosonde's resident artist Telegraphy, pushes the listener into outer space where a sterile environment is present to be used as a medium for sound interpretation. If it isn't warm and bright for one person, it's cold and dark for another. It's all how you interpret it.
"A couple of things to note regarding A Noise Life. The piano piece in “Killing Camper Van Beethoven” is a midi version of Beethoven’s “Sonata No. 5 C minor, Opus 10/1″ from Bernd Krueger at The Classical Piano Midi-Page. It is licensed CC BY-SA. The track "Science" are unprocessed sounds from various NASA mission. "Sunday Morning" is a counter to the genre of ambient work that is a combination of melodic piano or guitar with an unobstrusive field recording playing in the background. Enjoy." "The Biotop Label presents the first EP of the genre-breaking Aqstnik project, containing 3 deep and dubby tracks. Aqstnik combines classic piano-music with tricky electronic elements, created by two skillful maestros in their artistic fields.
The two artists behind Aqstnik can both look back on their extensive music-careers and numerous trademark-releases within their genres. For this project they decided to use an independent name, unrelated to their artist-names, so the focus is completely on the music, not the men behind it.
Aqstnik had no master plan when they fired up the machines in the studio. It was all about the intuitive flow with the aim to unify piano-music with electronic production- skills, and to develop something original out of it. In about 12 months a whole album accrued, containing 9 experimental, deep and sensitive songs, most of them freely interpreted. Cineastic and enthusiastic – in some places blue-eyed and light-hearted, in other parts dark and sophisticated – continuously emotional and packed with magic moments.
Fortunately for all music-lovers the Biotop Label drops the “Tasten der Unendlichkeit EP” with a selection of the most electronic tracks of this album as a free download! The full album will be released with a special concept very soon." (Words from Biotop).
